British Airways chose RapidReach

British Airways (BA) is one of the world's largest international airlines and carries over 49 million passengers on 535,000 flights annually.

BA wanted to implement an alert notification tool to rapidly notify key personnel in the event of a crisis situation so that response teams could be mobilised to man BA's Emergency Operations Centres. After an extensive search, RapidReach Emergency Notification Service (ENS) was chosen to play a key role in their call-out pro¨cedures, as a part of their major incident management procedures

So what has changed for this extraordinary organisation? "Being able to send consistent messages to large numbers with minimal resources, at a critical time," says BA's Head of Emergency Response. "We've also eliminated 'Chinese Whispers' and the RapidReach service is so easy to use. It is simple and intuitive for the user, our staff are happier that they can manage to activate the service due to its simplicity. The speed at which we can contact people and also man our Operations Centre's has increased immensely"
